Home / Quality inspection
Quality checks work best when the buyer and supplier agree on what an acceptable product looks like before an order is placed. Jabbar Sourcing coordinates sourcing, inspection and shipping from Yiwu. A dedicated specialist follows your order, opens cartons and packages, and shares photos and videos for your confirmation before shipment. Use this checklist to make that process easier to review.
1. Prepare one specification for each product
A reference photograph is helpful, but it cannot explain every requirement. Send a product list with a separate row for each item or variation. Keep the same product names or reference numbers when reviewing samples, quotations and inspection updates.
- Product name, reference link and requested quantity.
- Material, dimensions, weight and required colors.
- Important functions and acceptable appearance.
- Quantity per pack and quantity per carton.
- Packaging, printed artwork, labels and carton markings.
- Destination market and any required product documentation.
Identify which details are essential and which can be discussed. A clear written specification helps prevent a similar-looking substitute from being treated as the same product.
2. Confirm sample terms and the inspection scope
For small, low-value items, samples are usually free with the buyer covering international courier costs. Higher-value sample terms are confirmed with the supplier first. For customized goods, confirm the sample and written specifications before production is agreed.
Typical checks cover quantity, visible workmanship, material and dimensions against the specification, function where applicable, packaging and labeling. Discuss which checks matter for your products before ordering. If your market requires particular testing or documents, identify those requirements separately; photographs alone do not establish product compliance.
3. Review evidence before packing and shipping
Compare the specialist’s photos and videos with your approved specifications. Check that the relevant product variation, packaging and labels can be identified. If something is unclear, ask for the missing view or detail before giving confirmation.
Record any discrepancy against the product reference, explain the expected specification, and keep the related images together. Agree with the team how a supplier issue will be handled before the goods move into consolidation and shipping. Inspection, warehousing, packing and logistics should be visible in the itemized quotation.
4. Keep evidence if an issue appears after arrival
If goods arrive with quality issues, wrong items or shortages, share photo or video evidence. Include the product reference, affected quantity and packaging details so the team can compare the report with the order. As described in our FAQ, we work with the supplier to arrange redelivery, replacement or refund; provide the evidence needed to assess the issue.
